Kiongozi wa kidini nchini Iran , Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ametoa matamshi makali dhidi ya hasimu wake Saudi Arabia.
Akihutubia waumini wa dini ya kiislamu wakati wa kuanza mwezi mtukufu wa Ramadhan, Ayatollah ameishtumu Saudi kuwa ina uhalifu mwingi na haifuati Korani.
Amesema kwamba viongozi wa Saudi, " Ni kama wanakamuliwa kama Ng'ombe' na Marekani"
Saudi ilikubali kununua silaha zitakazogharimu zaidi ya dola bilioni moja kutoka Marekani.
Saudi Arabia ni mshirika mkuu wa Marekani katika juhudi za kukabiliana na ushawishi wa Iran eneo la Mashariki ya Kati.
